if they are calling you buddy around this planet earth, and you don't know them, they are looking to ensorcell you or rob you, stab or slash you up for snitching even. mind you there might be a few confused saints who are so informal.
Saying it is insane to say you are a saint? That is like a biker gangs philosphy. If you have believed all your life then you are probably a Saint by now.
