The leaders fear for their safety so much, they want to have the ultimate state of emergency?

The leaders seem to pushing us further and further into national security state paranoia levels.
They fear for their safety and want utter control I think.
I believe many of them are doing major fucking crimes but you can't really accuse them of that withut invoking the wrath of many great leaders.
