My parents were well off, but they spent all their money on the needy and poor

My parents sort of had everything.  They were intelligent, my dad had a PhD and my mom was a school teacher and they taught at the University.
They had a nice house in a nice neighborhood, and we went out all the time.
My parents really believed in supporting local business they frequented a great many local business and patronized them.
I volunteered constantly as a teenager, whether it was in Army Cadets, or in the homeless shelter, or in after school programs.
I played on sports teams and was a debater and server in church.  I also played music sometimes at school or played in skits.
I used to wake up at 5 am and do a workout with yoga and weights, and then do 500 kicks and 1000 punches.
Then I'd read philosophy or religion.
By 745 I'd be studying latin and drinking tea, and then I'd go to school and work till 10 pm, taking some breaks for tv and dinner.
My parents took me to Church every Sunday and got me to go to the youth group every friday for some years.
I made speeches at school and became head of debating and a prefect.
According to the school priest I was elected head prefect, but they stole the election from me.
I won many prizes in high school, and was spending my after school hours studying with beautiful women and volunteering with them which was great fun..
I was a serious kid, I didn't join any gangs or cults and stayed out of trouble as best I could.
My parents would reward my good grades by taking me out for lunch and dinner in some of our favorite restaurants.
Surely the two places in Yorkville were our favorite.  The Shogun for Japanese, which was actually run by a Korean, and the Coffee Mill, the local Central European Hangout, run by Hungarians.
Also I would go to Indian restaurants with me dad and my mom would take me for Thai Takeout dinner on Yonge Street.
We had many parties at our house having dinner and kids over, and we would often have Thai Takeout food from the Bankok Garden on Elm Street in Toronto - the best Thai food.
Life was at it's highest quality, and I performed very well in my responsibilities.
We spent our money on our needs, and paid for other people to continue their businesses and live well.
