Maybe the current leadership has a hypocritical and unrealistic legal assumption , maybe it doesn't.

They are locking people up for playing around the wrong way with 14 year old girls, but some of these girls will lie cheat and steal to get with an older guy.

Well I dunno, maybe the structure of the law is fine, generally speaking if the girl tricks the guy she's older the guy's not on the hook, but the girl could be.
